Because He Lives…

Because He lives…

Three words and three little dots that contain so much meaning, carry so much weight. Within these words are death and life and eternal love. Jesus lived and walked among us, was betrayed by the very humanity He loves, crucified, and yet death could not contain Him, He rose again. He lives! His resurrection power transforms hearts and captivates minds with His beauty, truth, and grace which He extends to us all. Yet a gift that must be received.

Because He lives…

Three dots that serve as an invitation to ponder all that these words have accomplished. Grace upon grace, and new mercies with every sunrise. Our sin and sorrows—redeemed. Strength for today and hope for all our tomorrows. The presence of His Spirit in every good and hard moment. His joy infusing our days. All this and so much more. Words can never fully define the Divine.

Because He lives…

Brings unity to a contentious world, restoration to families and relationships. If we claim to follow Jesus—we will be uniters, healers of the broken and hurting. We will forgive. And seek forgiveness. Leaving no room for division, we dialogue and pursue understanding. This is how we truly see and know each other. This is how we love.

If given the task to summarize the Bible in three words, these are the three I would choose. From Genesis to Revelation the fulfillment of God’s story is found here. His mission of love achieved. The Waymaker providing the way to the Father. It is finished. And yet He continues. Jesus is the gift in each moment.

Oh friend, do not skip over these three words and dots. They are for you, as they are for me.

Pause and ponder all that has been accomplished on our behalf.

Because He lives…

Happy Easter! ✝️💖
