Minneapolis

public.jpeg

Thankful—yet sorrowing.
This burning year of loss.
Oh Minneapolis, city we love.
Consumed.
In flames of anger, grief, and anguish.
Death.

*****

But, this new day.

Lord, light a holy fire deep within our hearts.
To LOVE passionately.
To see Your divine spark
in each and every person.
Kindness, compassion, justice—
our holy fire fuel.
Dignity and respect—
the luminous glow that beckons,
welcoming all.
Come sit,
relax,
warm yourself friend—
together we are safe,
together there is love.

RIP George Floyd.
